Obituary

Funeral services for Garna Omilla Fish, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Rogers, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Fish died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Aug. 30, 1914, in Blanket to Robert J. and Margie Bell Singletary Gould. She moved to Plainview in 1917. She married A.W. Fish in Clovis, N.M. She worked as a waitress at several restaurants in Plainview. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her companion, "Rocky" Belyeu of Plainview; a stepson, Robert Lee Fish of Hereford; three daughters, Sylvia Janice Rylant of Plainview, Mitzi Pyle of Meadow Lake and Jean Dyers of Houston; two stepdaughters, Yvonne Cargill of Plainview and Pearl Adams of Sherman; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband and three daughters, Carolyn Malone, Irene Cox and Patsy Trailor, are deceased.
