Obituary

Graveside services for Ladonna Berniece Finney, 69, will be 10 a.m. Monday in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Malcom, pastor of Colonial Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Finney died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at her residence. She was born March 6, 1936, in Clovis, N.M., to Arline Liege Gordon and Flossie May Whitner. She worked at Hale County State Bank for many years then went on to become an LVN and worked for Dr. Carl Weidenbach and also at Spur Nursing Home. She married Clint Gene Finney in 1969. He died in September 2002. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy Couch of Plainview, Connie and Albert Clendenin of Las Vegas, Nev., and Arliene Bailey of Huntsville; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry and Diane Dodgin of Plainview, Gerald Finney of Austin, Ronnie and Cynthia Finney of Fort Worth and Phillip Finney of Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Gordon of Washington, Gary and LaNelda Gordon of San Antonio and Donny Gordon of Clovis, N.M.; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Loretta and Pete Lancaster of Kansas, Lois and Steve Sadler of Alvin, Betty and Kim Dixon of Clovis, N.M., and Debbie Gordon of Clovis, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
