Obituary

Funeral services for Leonard Finley, 89, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Oscar Chavez officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Finley died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, in Plainview. He was born on Feb. 16, 1923, in Lexington, Okla., to Clarence and Eva Finley. He married Bertha Jernigan on Nov. 1, 1946, in Floydada.
He was a salesman for Green Machinery.
He served in the United States Army as a staff sergeant in the 320th Infantry and was a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, son Milton Finley and wife Beth of Plainview; two grandsons, four nieces and a nephew.
