Findley, O.Z.

Graveside services for O.Z. Findley, 88, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Plainview Cemetery with Colquitt Nash, minister of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Findley died at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, in Plainview Healthcare Center.

He was born Jan. 20, 1915, in Paducah, the son of Frank and Ida Findley.

He moved at a young age to Olton where he lived all his life.

He had worked for Olton Butane Company for several years, retiring in 1985.

He moved to Plainview in 1996.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

On Dec. 2, 1933, he married Arah Faye Vinning in Guthrie.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Thelma Faye Brock of Plainview; two sons, Charles Findley of Gatesville and Donnie Findley of Lubbock; a sister, Oleta Hatley of Lubbock; a brother, Olin Findley of Graham; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A brother, J.C. Findley, and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren are deceased.

The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Hospice of Plainview.
