Obituary

Funeral services for Anita Perez Favila, 69, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Favila died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at her home. She was born April 6, 1942, in Rosenberg to Serapio and Lamar (De Los Santos) Perez. Her family moved to Plainview when she was young. She also lived in Minnesota and Arizona. She was supervisor of the housekeeping department at Mesa General Hospital. She married Federico "Lico" Favila in Plainview in 1983. Survivors include her husband; children, Richard Rodriguez and wife, Olivia, of Lubbock, Sally R. Lem and husband, James, of Mesa, Ariz., Abel Talamantes and wife, Gabriella, of Mesa, Ariz., Steve Talamantes and wife, Kelly, and Ray Talamantes and wife, Melinda, all of Minnesota, and Jennifer Alvarez of Lockhart; siblings, Solano Benny Perez and Gloria Hernandez, both of Plainview, Sam Perez of Phoenix and Johnny Perez of Mesa, Ariz.; 28 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Raul Perez; a sister, Amelia Cerna; a son, Freddy Rodriguez; and a daughter, Sandy Robles.
