Obituary
Peggy Rue Evans Escue passed away peacefully in her home in San Antonio, on Jan. 9, 2008. She was born Sept. 12, 1942, in Lubbock, to M.D. and Beth Evans, of Abernathy. She attended Abernathy schools and graduated from LCC and TTU, receiving her degree in Home Economics.
Survivors include daughters, Carolyn and Sharon Escue; beloved grandsons, Brandon Kyle and Cade Madison; her parents; and brother, Randy, of Crosbyton. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles.
Peggy was a faithful member of Sunset Ridge Church of Christ, in San Antonio for 35 years. As a dedicated Home Economics teacher at Tom Clark H.S., she received numerous honors and awards for teaching excellence, including Texas Home Economics Teacher of the Year.
She humbly lent herself to multiple causes and will be missed by her many friends and family.
Family will receive friends from 12 - 1 p.m. at Abernathy Church of Christ before the graveside services at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2008. Burial will be at the Abernathy Cemetery. Services were also held at Sunset Ridge Church of Christ, in San Antonio.
