Obituary

Agustina C. Escobar, 82, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, after a lengthy illness. She was born May 5, 1928 in Terlingua and was raised in Ballinger where she and her husband, Manuel, were married. They moved to Plain?view in 1950. She collected antiques and owned an antique business for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Manuel, and a daughter, Dorothy. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Dandido Espinoza of Porterville, Calif.; a son, Johnny Ray Escobar of Everett, Wash.; and grandchildren, Candido Jr., Lisa, Dianna, Cindy and Becky; and numerous great-grandchildren. A private ceremony for family will be held at a later date.
