Obituary

Funeral services for Alma Gracie Escobar, 59, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lemons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Escobar died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at Plainview Health Care. She was born Aug. 20, 1948, in Kingsville to Martin Ortegon and Teodora Gonzales Ortegon. She married Felipe Escobar in Plainview. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Felipe Escobar III, and Ernest and Amy Escobar, all of Plainview, Pete and Rosario Escobar of Long Beach, Calif., and Eloy Escobar of Houston; three daughters and one son-in-law, Abigail Ramos, Annabel and Dominic Perez, and Veronica Escobar, all of Plainview; four brothers, Roel Ortegon of Corpus Christi, Oscar Ortegon of Houston and Raul Ortegon and Baldomero Ortegon, both of Plainview; two sisters, Guadalupe Perez of Modesto, Calif., and Dora Ruiz of Plainview; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
