Funeral services for Leona Enos, 72, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Phillip Jones, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Enos died at 2:09 a.m. Sunday, June 13, 1999, in Covenant Hospital Lubbock.
She was born Leona Hughes on Aug. 9, 1926, in Ryan, Okla., where she grew up and attended schools. She moved to Plainview in 1952, and was a volunteer worker for the Eleanor Griffin Training Center and with Faith in Sharing House. She taught Sunday school for many years and was president of the Residence Council at Heritage Home. She attended Calvary Baptist Church.
On Jan. 23, 1942, she married Woodrow Enos in Waurika, Okla. He died in April of 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Shugart of Plainview and Cathy McKinzie of Odessa; two sons, Denny Woodrow Enos of Big Spring and David Enos of Plainview; three brothers, James Dale Hughes of Plainview, Harold Dean Hughes of Clarendon and Billy Bob Hughes of Sydney, Neb.; two sisters, Lorene VanZant of Tucson, Ariz., and Bonnie Ann Howard of Lipan; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Stahl, Tommy Enos, Billy Shugart, James McKinzie, Bandy McKinzie and Darrell DeBerry.
