Jerry Finis Edwards was born June 6, 1944 the son of Finis and Mary Cooksey Edwards. He died January 23, 1975 from injuries received in a plane crash near Slaton. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1962 and was a CPA in Tulia at the time of his death. Jerry served with the Army in Vietnam. He was the father of two daughters.
