Funeral services for Delmar Duncan, 87, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Horace Abbott, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Garden by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mr. Duncan died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2000, in Hi-Plains Hospital in Hale Center.
He was born Nov. 6, 1912, in Cross Plains. At a young age, he moved to Plainview where he grew up. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and after returning to Plainview, worked for Pioneer Drilling Co., retiring in 1980.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Elks Lodge.
On March 12, 1934, he married Dorothy Marie Spann in Guymon, Okla. She died Oct. 15, 1993.
Survivors include four daughters, Darla Jones-Comer of Plainview, Patsy Hoermann of Andrews and Delmarie Davis and Debby Ketchersid, both of Lubbock; one sister, Laverne Wachob of Colorado City, Colo; 12 grandchildren, including Shana Jones Gonzales of Plainview; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Family Hospice, 4418 Olton Road.
