Rodriguez, Francisco Cervantez, Mrs. (Catarina Jimenez)

Funeral Mass for Catarina Rodriguez, 76, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 24, 2008, in St. Isidore Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX.

She was born April 30, 1931 in Los Ebanos, TX. She married Francisco Cervantez Rodriguez on October 1, 1945, in Bolton, TX. He preceded her in death Februray 10, 1999.

She was very active in St. Isidore Catholic Church, was a member of the Cursillistas, Guadalupanas and the Alter Society. She moved to Abernathy in June of 1968.

She was preceded in death by one son, Rudy Rodriguez on August 10, 1981, and she is survived by 17 children, Joe Angel, Alfredo "Freddie", Charlie , Michael, Frances Rodriguez and Paula Rodriguez all of Loveland, CO, Cleofus and Santiago both of Lubbock, TX, Sabino of Arkansas, Frank of Vista, CA, Roger of Jacksonville, NC, Richard of Albuquerque, NM, Rosa Gonzales of Roscoe, TX, Maria Estella Rodriguez of Amarillo, TX, Maria Oralia Rodriguez of Edmonson, TX, Racheal Baeza of Tioga, TX and Diana Martinez of Abernathy, TX. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
