Obituary

Delbert Eugene Dorsey, 77, of Plainview passed away Friday, May 9, 2008, in Plainview, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Dorsey was born June 20, 1930, in Dixon, Texas, to William and Mamie Dorsey. He has been married to Ruth Jenkins for 18 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at Wilson's Trucking as a mechanic for 40 years. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Dorsey of Plainview; his children, Jerry Dean Dorsey of Camden, Ark., Jerry R. Stegall and wife Jetta of Sweeney, Larry Stegall of Lubbock, Carolyn Kreh of Illinois and Tommy Elvis Jenkins of Texas; seven grandchildren, Chris Morgan, Tammy Goff, Gary Dorsey, Jason Morgan, Liz Howard, Ethan Stegall and Tammy Van Veen; and six great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dakota, Dylon and Devin Goff, Camron Van Veen and Cale Howard. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Eugene Dorsey and Randy Allen Dorsey.
