Obituary

Graveside services for Clyde Robert Dorsett, 85, were at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 9, 2009, in Plainview Cemetery with J Henderson officiating. Services were held under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Dorsett died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, in Plainview. He was born Feb. 27, 1924, to Elmer and Nora (Langford) Dorsett in Plainview. He married Margie Russell on March 28, 1953, in Hobbs, N.M. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was an employee of Boeing Aviation in California for many years. Before his retirement, he worked as a tile installer with NASA's space shuttle program in California. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview. He is survived by his wife of more than 56 years, Margie Dorsett of Plainview; his brother, Clarence Dorsett of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.
