Obituary
Jerry Dobbs, 79, of Pampa, passed away on Jan. 20, 2015, in Amarillo with his family by his side. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Pampa with the Rev. Dr. Ran Loy, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, at Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Jerry was born on July 5, 1935, in Loraine, Texas. He lived as a devout Christian and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pampa. He had a positive impact on every life he touched and will be most remembered for his lustrous smile, joyful laugh and compassionate heart. He genuinely enjoyed spending time with family and friends; and held a profound love for animals. Jerry was a strong and resilient man with uncompromising determination. His buoyant personality was inspiring, his independence was admirable and he will be deeply missed by all. He is preceded in death by his biological father Bruce Dobbs; parents Loyce and Pete Bond; great-nieces Randi Timms and Saylor Danner; and great-nephew Tyler Timms. Survivors include three sisters, Judy Hawkins and husband Harry of Cedar Hill, Honey Kemph and husband R. J. of Groom, and Dixie Danner and husband Darrell of Pampa; two brothers, Danny Bond and wife Lynda of Sun Valley, Nevada, and Beau Bond and wife Diane of Seattle, Washington; seven nieces, Tammy Clary and husband Greg of Waxahachie, Holly O'Neal and husband Montie of Midlothian, Tina Timms of Maypearl, Lisa Bond of Yelm, Washington, Danielle Bond and husband Omi Kwangaya of Des Moines, Washington, Katie Fraser of Sacshe, and Holly Welch and husband Keith of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and six nephews, Nick Bond and wife Alice of Lockhart, Pete Bond of Redwood City, California, Quintin Kemph of Groom, Wilbur Kemph and wife Rebeca of Amarillo, Casey Danner and wife Layci of Amarillo, and Schuyler Danner of Pampa; and 27 great-nieces and great-nephews.
