Obituary

Harlen Dizmang, 76, of Plainview passed away Aug. 23, 2012, in Plainview. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Oscar Chavez, chaplain for Area Community Hospice, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview Harlen was born April 4, 1936, to Ernest and Ruby Dizmang in Benkelman, Neb. He grew up in Nebraska and worked on the family farm. He move to Tulia in the 1970s and worked for Tulia Feed Yard. He went to work for Excel in 1980 and worked for them for 18 years. He owned and operated his own lawn service for 15 years. He was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ruby Dizmang; and one sister, Letha Long. He is survived by his wife, Renea Dizmang of Plainview; seven children, Vicki Dizmang Ware of Lubbock, Shelli Bryant of Amarillo, Tammy Koch of North Platt, Neb., Shanna Taylor of Garland, Wayne Dizmang and wife Jennifer of Midland, Allan Dizmang and wife Bonnie of Colby, Kan., and Loran Dizmang of Moorefield, Neb.; three brothers, Harold Dizmang of Wauneta, Neb., Dale Dizmang of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Johnny Dizmang of Imperial, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Sheba.
