Obituary

Funeral Mass for Porfirio Diaz, 44, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Diaz died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, in Lubbock. He was born June 6, 1962, in Plainview to Ruben and Mamie Diaz. He attended Plainview schools and worked for Tommy Lewis Industries until going to Lubbock State School. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include his parents of Plainview; five brothers, Carlos Diaz of Odessa, Arthur Diaz and Ruben Diaz Jr., both of San Diego, Calif., Daniel Diaz of Pampa and David Diaz of Plainview; eight sisters, Tina Ramos, Veronica Sanchez and Rebecca Gonzales, all of Plainview, Lisa Landeros of Howe, Okla., Rachel Wolovnik of Amarillo, and Nora Tapia, Oralia Diaz and Delia Oranlias, all of Odessa; and several nieces and nephews.
