Obituary

Funeral services for the Rev. Pablo DeLuna, 67, were at 2 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Longoria officiating. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Rev. DeLuna died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, in Plainview. He was born Feb. 27, 1937, the son of Nicholas and Dominga DeLuna, in Checo, Texas. He had been a pastor for Templo Galilea in Plainview since 1981 and was affiliated with the United Pentecostal Local Churches. Survivors include his wife, Rosa DeLuna; one daughter, Lucy Gamez of Plainview; three sons, Gabriel DeLuna, Richard DeLuna and Robert DeLuna, all of Plainview; five brothers, Nicholas DeLuna of El Campo, Genaro Gonzales, Santiago Gonzales, Joe Gonzales, all of Bishop, and Ricardo Gonzales of Kingsville; a sister, Lucia Casas of Bishop, and 14 grandchildren. His parents; two sons, Elias DeLuna and Josue DeLuna; and a sister, Anita Gonzales, are deceased.
