Obituary

Funeral Mass for Elfego M. Delgado, 68, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Delgado died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at his residence. He was born April 2, 1940, in Raymondville to Romulo and Eva Delgado. He married Josefina Guzman on July 14, 1978, in Raymondville. She died Aug. 13, 2007. He moved to Plainview in 1981. He worked for Cargill Meat Solutions for 22 years before retiring. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Marquez of Plainview; two sons, Albert Leos of Plainview and Jessie Delgado of Amarillo; seven brothers, Tive Delgado of Houston, Isreal Delgado of New Orleans, Moses Delgado of Boise, Idaho, Eli Delgado of Burleson, Romulo Delgado of Grand Prairie, Joe Delgado of Spring and Baldemar Delgado of San Antonio; three sisters, Dina Fonseca of Raymondville, Blanca Phelan of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Gloria Lara of Houston; and six grandchildren.
