Obituary

Funeral Mass for Marcelina Martinez Delgado, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Alice Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. today at Lemons Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Martinez died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo. She was born June 2, 1934, to Dolorez Martinez and Angelita Notez Martinez. She married Alfonzo Delgado Nov. 27, 1954, in Clovis, N.M. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; one son, LeRoy Delgado of Plainview; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Alice and Miguel Alvarado of Olton, Adelina and Raymond of Amarillo and Melissa Mendoza of North Carolina; one daughter-in-law, Erika Delgado of Plainview; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cecilia and Tib Rincon of Mineral Wells, Candy and Lupe Rogers and Victoria Martinez, all of Plainview; one brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Virginia Martinez of Plainview; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
