Obituary

Ricardo DelCampo, 82, Plainview, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at La Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Rev. Raymond Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 22, 2013.
Mr. DelCampo is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nicolas DelCampo; five sons, Roger DelCampo, Plainview; Robert DelCampo, Angleton, Texas; Richard DelCampo Jr., Plainview; Rene DelCampo, Benbrook, Texas; and Raymon DelCampo, Dalhart, Texas; three daughters, Rachel Gonzales, Plainview; Romelia Garcia, Plainview; and Rosa DelCampo Ortiz, Lubbock; 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Mr. DelCampo was a member of La Primera Iglesia Bautista and a Boy Scout leader. He was a salesman for Jimmy Dean and Coca-Cola and was very proud to have worked for Jimmy Dean from the time it opened until the time it closed. He was a dedicated, hard-working man who provided a loving home for his wife and eight children. He instilled invaluable lessons to all of us on family values and striving for a better life. He will be missed by all.
