Deisher, Angus (Red), Mrs. (Leola (Jimmie) Hudgins)

Funeral services for Leola ?Jimmie? Deisher, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Rev. Joe P. Weldon of Plainview officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mrs. Deisher died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at South Haven Residential Care Home in Lubbock.

She was born Feb. 21, 1912, in the Prairie View Community northeast of Plainview. She married Angus ?Red? Deisher on Aug. 2, 1938 in Los Angeles, Calif. They lived in Amarillo from 1939 to 1940 when she had attended West Texas State University, worked as a seamstress and as a credit manager.

They moved to Silverton in 1954 where they operated Rock Creek Grocery until retirement in 1977 and moved back to Amarillo. They returned to Plainview in 1985.

Mr. Deisher died Dec. 27, 1989 and she moved to Lubbock in June of 2002.

She is survived by a sister, Jane Weathers of Plainview; three sisters-in-law, Joann Deisher of Plainview, Edna Hudgins of Plainview, and Vanita Locke of Borger; a niece and care giver, Joy King of Lubbock; several nieces and nephews. Three sisters and three brothers and deceased.
