Dees, Morlow M., Mrs. (Christine V.)

Funeral services for Christine Dees, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dees died at 7:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born Feb. 11, 1913, in Tishomingo, Okla. She grew up and attended schools in Oklahoma. She married Marlow Dees on Oct. 26, 1935, in Plainview. He died April 3, 1999.

She moved to Plainview in 1949 and worked as a carried for The Plainview Daily Herald for 17 years. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Julia of Rocky Hill, Conn., and Juanita Dees of Plainview; one son Richard B. Dees of Apple Valley, Calif., seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
