Dean. William Henry, Mrs. (Cassie Lucille Morris)

Funeral services for Cassie Lucille Dean, 93, will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Lemons Memorials Chapel with the Rev. Dean McNamara, VistaCare Family Hospice chaplain, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dean died Tuesday, March, 4, 2003, in Plainview Healthcare Center.

She was born Oct. 7, 1909, in Van Zant County. She moved to Plainview in October 1915 from Canton and attended school at Liberty. She farmed in the Liberty community before moving to Halfway in 1940.

She was a homemaker, active in the Methodist Church and Home Demonstration clubs and enjoyed working in her garden.

On Nov. 24, 1928, she married W.H. Dean of Plainview. He died June 8, 1980.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Billie Dean of Halfway; a daughters-in-law, Pat Dean of Amarillo; a brother and sister-in-law, A.D. and Pearl Morris of Kress; six grandchildren.

A son, Marvin Dean, died in 2003. Three brothers, Wylie Morris, Howell Morris and Lloyd Morris, also are deceased.

The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Hospice, 4418 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072.
