Obituary

Richard De Leon, 45 of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, at Kornerstone Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2015, from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Richard was born on Dec. 5, 1969, to Rodolfo and Maria De Leon in Lubbock, Texas. He grew up in Plainview, where he attended schools. He worked for Excel and later was employed by Wal-Mart. He is preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by his five children, Ashley De Leon of Amarillo, Texas, and Cody Ballard of Plainview, Texas, Joshua, Israel and Kimberley De Leon; one sister, Sandra De Leon of Plainview, Texas; three brothers, Rudy De Leon of San Antonio, Texas, Fred De Leon and wife Nora of Plainview, Texas, and Sal De Leon of Lubbock, Texas.
