Davitte, Young

Funeral services for Young Davitte, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark?s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bruce Green, rector, officiating.

Cremation arrangements were by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mr. Davitte Died June 30, 2003, at IHS in Arlington.

He was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Fort Worth, where he grew up and attended schools. He attended North Texas Agriculture College in Fort Worth and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a grain broker.

He was a member of St. Mark?s Episcopal Church, Elks Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce and was active with Meals on Wheels.

On March 10, 1946, he married Jean Brandy in Fort Worth. She died Dec. 16, 2002.

Survivors include two daughters, Dale Davitte of Arlington and Jeanie Davitte of Plainview; and four nieces, Mimi Kerr of Houston, Amanda Micheals of Los Angeles, Calif., Lynn Yarger of St. Louis, Mo., and Cissy Palmerton of Austin.

A son, Young Davitte III, and a sister, Betty Davitte Hackney, are deceased.
