Obituary

Mattie Inez Davis, age 95, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Plainview, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at Plainview Memorial Park with Dr. Max Browning officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview Texas. Inez was born July 3, 1920, in Flomot, Texas, to Joseph Castle Titus and Effie Mae Fulkerson Titus. She graduated from Matador High School in Matador Texas. Inez married Vaughn Davis in 1947 and they were married for 38 years until his passing in 1985. Inez attended First Christian Church and enjoyed doing volunteer work. She served on the Board of Directors of RSVP. Before her retirement, she enjoyed a career as a dental assistant. Inez was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, J.C. Titus from Blythe, California. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Stilley and husband Mike of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Terri Dowell of Austin Texas; one sister, June Smith of Weatherford, Texas; one brother, James A. Titus of Colleyville, Texas; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
