Abernathy-- Funeral services for Myrna Davis, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Les Griffin, pastor of First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, and the Rev. John Lowrie, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2003, in Lubbock.
She was born Sept. 21, 1916. She moved to Abernathy in 1939.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Senior Citizens and was a charter member of Abernathy Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the 1935 Study Club and Abernathy Art Club and was a volunteer for the American Heart Association and served on the Hi-Plains Hospital Board in Hale Center.
On Nov. 4, 1939, she married Ralph Edward Davis in Groom. He died June 7, 1985.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy Davis of Lubbock and Pamela and Ed Dobies of Houston; a grandson, Kenneth Dobies of Houston; a niece, Doris Durrett of Abernathy; and a foster daughter, Ruth Naron of Abernathy.
A daugher, Patsy Davis, died in 1956.
The family suggests memorials to the Abernathy Cemetery Association or to First Baptist Church.
