Davis, Johnnie

Graveside services for Johnnie Davis, 66, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Plainview Cemetery with the Rev. Dean McNamara, chaplain of VistaCare Family Hospice, officiating.

Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis died at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000 in Plainview.

He was born Jan. 19, 1934, in Brazos County. He grew up in Bryan and moved to Plainview in the 1950s. He farmed and was a cook at Playland Drive-In and worked at Tommy Lewis Industries. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Glen Davis of Los Angeles, Calif. and Johnnie Davis Jr., of Plainview; a brother, Leon Davis of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Earnestine Pleasant of Floydada, and Imogene Henderson of Dallas; and several grandchildren.
