Obituary

Funeral services for Dan Brady Davis, 88 of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Garland Street Church of Christ with Steve Gauntt officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bart?ley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Davis passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 in Lubbock. He was born on March 11, 1924, in Chillicothe, Texas to Joseph and Ruth Davis He married Margaret Aden on March 12, 1947, in Plainview. He worked for Dulaney's Auto Parts for 27 years and was a partner in DJ's Auto Parts. He was a WWII Navy veteran and a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. He is survived by a son, Charles Davis and wife Rita of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; daughter Carla Jo Davis of Lubbock; granddaughters Melissa Davis of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Lona Voigt of Sarasota, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren.
