Davis, Charles L.

Funeral services for Charles L. Davis, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in first Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Garden by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis died at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, in Plainview Health Care Center.

He was born Dec. 10, 1918, in Ingalls, Kan. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was an air traffic controller for 35 years. He retired from Plainview Control Tower in 1977.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion, AARP, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and American Bowling Association.

On Feb. 7, 1944, he married Eva Ruth Gilger in Dodge City, Kan.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Nancy Elaine Ratliff of Clinton, Mo., and Phyllis Ann Davis of Lubbock; a sister, Loretta Fell of Casper, Wyo.; and a granddaughter, Kathryn Anne Howe of Iowa City, Iowa.
