Obituary

Services for Verna Lee Dorothy Daniels, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Daniels died at 10:19 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, in Prairie House Living Center. She was born Jan. 21, 1923, in Hamilton County. She grew up in the Plainview area and graduated from Plainview High School. She graduated nursing school in St. Louis, Mo., and lived in Oklahoma and Colorado before returning to Plainview in 2000. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Elaine Ching of Englewood, Calif.; Constance Elise Hoyt of Banger, Maine and Diana Monroe of Santa Fe, N.M.; two sons, Larry Wayne Daniels of Tucson, Ariz., and Glenn Alan Daniels of Kansas; one brother, Albert C. Bertelson of Claytonville; four sisters, Agnes Constance Barbian of Plainview, Anna Marie Cadra of Midland; Eulalia Beatrice Barbian of Kress and Gwendolyn Janette Faver of Plainview; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One brother and four sisters are deceased. Memorials are suggested to VistaCare Family Hospice, 4418 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072.
