Obituary

Memorial services for Sarah Daniels, 54, were at 2 p.m. today in the First United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating. Lemons Funeral Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The body was cremated. Mrs. Daniels died at 5:35 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2002, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born May 27, 1947, in Cooperstown, N.Y., where she was raised. She graduated from Morrisville College. She was a registered nurse and had worked at hospitals in Lubbock, Lockney, Hale Center and other surrounding communities. She moved to Plainview in 1976. Mrs. Daniels was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Living Water Emmaus Community. She married Eugene Daniels on April 13, 1974, in Middlefield, N.Y.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Isabell H. Pena of Glessen, Germany; two stepdaughters, Susan Jean Martinez of Plainview and Paula J. Daniels of Oneonta, N.Y.; three sons, Michael J. Daniels of Austin, Ken Daniels of Lubbock and Kenneth Daniels of Plainview; two brothers, John Butler of North Carolina and Mark Butler of Plainview; four sisters, Marian Grimm of Saratoga, N.Y., Frances Hazelton of Richfield Springs, N.Y., and Lisa Ellsworth and Rita Canandaigua, both of Geneva, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren.
