Obituary

Ila "Marie" Daniel, 90, of Amarillo died Oct. 31, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, in Plainview Cemetery. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with the Rev. Jim Benton officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia, Amarillo.
Marie was born June 13, 1923, in Rotan, Texas. Her family moved to Plainview when she was only a toddler. She married Bob Daniel, the love of her life, on June 23, 1946. Marie had a love for her church and to watch her family play sports. She enjoyed cooking, playing bridge, golf, bowling and sewing.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Elene Thompson, Elda Parks, Betty West, and Corene Zulauf; and a brother killed in WWII.
She is survived by her husband Bob Daniel; three sons, Bob Daniel III and wife Kym of Amarillo, Gary Lynn Daniel and wife Cheryl of Amarillo, and Monte Joe Daniel and wife Mechelle of Lubbock; a sister, Mary Alice Tucker; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
The family suggests memorials be made to Coulter Road Baptist Church, 4108 Coulter, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
Family will receive friends from 4-5 pm, today at the funeral home.
