Obituary

Memorial services for Lawrence Frank "Larry" Dane, 79, of Plainview will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Trinity Fellowship Church with the Rev. Steve Rogers, pastor, officiating. Cremation arrangements were by Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Dane died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009. He was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Clay Center, Neb. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1954. He was a devoted Nebraska football fan. He married Dor? DeMoss and her three daughters Aug. 24, 1957, in Scotts Bluff, Neb. He spent most of his life traveling as a credit manager for farm equipment companies. He will be missed for his jokes and playful manner. To him, everything was a joke waiting to happen. His parents, Tom and Frances Dane; and daughters, Cynthia Jo and Carla Jean Smith, are deceased. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Christine Campbell of Plainview and Kathlene Saffell of Rice, Texas; one brother, Delvin Dane of Clay Center, Neb.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
