Dallas, Vivian ? Plv. Cem., Blk. 370, next to her son, James W. Dallas
Vivian Odessa Dallas, 91 of Houston, born in Roff, Oklahoma, August 29, 1918, entered the Kingdom of God on November 12, 2009. Her early years were spent in Wetumka and Okemak, Oklahoma. After graduation from Business College in Oklahoma City she moved with her parents, Columbus and Mary Williams, to Tulia, Texas. There she met her husband James Dallas. After World War II they established a Photographic Studio in Lubbock, Texas and had a son James W. Dallas who preceded her in death. Houston became her home in 1971 and her people skill led her to work in various positions in health care at Hermann and V. A. Hospitals. She is survived by her grandson Jeffery Dallas and his wife Kristin of Seattle, Washington. Her many nieces and nephews will miss her and treasure their memories of her love and devotion. She was good at building friendships with those she came in contact and leaves a legacy of joy and laughter. Her family wishes to thank the staff at St. Dominic Village. Her Memorial Service will be held November 21, 2009 at 2:00PM in Westmoreland Chapel at South Main Baptist Church, 4100 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice.
