Obituary

Private memorial services for Leroy Charles Daffron, 70, will be held at a later date. Cremation services were under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Daffron died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Covenant Hospital in Plainview. He was born Aug. 25, 1939, in Olton to Willie and Mary (Fisher) Daffron. He was a lifelong Olton resident and a graduate of Olton High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Warrick Enterprises in the maintenance department. He married Deborah Callan on Jan. 20, 2003, in Plainview. He was a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Daffron of Lubbock and Lesley Daffron of Colorado; one daughter, Donna Daffron of Colorado; one sister, Evelyn Daffron of Olton; one half-sister, Karen Daffron; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
