Obituary

Graveside services for Lena Bobbie Curtis, 77, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Plainview Cemetery with Steve Rogers, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Curtis died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in Methodist Hospital Lakeside in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 6, 1923, in Plainview. She had worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. She was a member of the Lady Elks and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Billington of Plainview and Jacqueline Sue Alexander of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Jim Bob Curtis of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Marie Hand of Plainview; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association or to Gideons Living Memorial Bible.
