Obituary
Funeral services for Dorothy M. Curry, 76, of Silverton, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Assembly of God Church in Plainview with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, and the Rev. Randy Mullin, pastor of First Baptist Church in Silverton, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home. Mrs. Curry died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in Prairie House Living Center. She was born Feb. 18, 1925. She moved to Plainview in 1950 from Tahoka and was a homemaker. She moved to Silverton in 1995. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Silverton. On Dec. 10, 1941, she married Wiley Cecil Curry in Tahoka. He died Sept. 28, 1993. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Lanny Barnett of Silverton; three sons and daughters-in-law, W.C. and Helen Curry Jr. of Cleburne, Don and Arlene Curry of Silverton and Tommy and Darlene Curry of Plainview; a brother, Bob Tippit of Gatesville; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-6 p.m. at Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.
