Obituary
Kirby Koen Culp, 72, of Canyon passed away Nov. 18, 2010, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Earl Blair and the Rev. Donna Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Culp was born Sept. 14, 1938 in Plainview, Texas, to Cecil Perry and Alice Grisham Culp. He married Linda Deanna Goodwin on April 7, 1977, in Dallas. Mr. Culp owned K-Bob's Steak House in Borger, Andrews, Odessa, Monahans and Hobbs, N.M. He was a member of the Texas National Guard, Sigma Nu Fraternity and First United Methodist Church in Canyon, Texas. Mr. Culp is survived by his wife, Linda Culp of Canyon; two daughters, Destiny Smith of Conroe and Summer Stanley of Colleyville; one stepdaughter, Christy Stewart of Canyon; one sister, Arlis Sims and husband, Leon, of Kingsland; and four grandsons, Gentry Smith, Graesen Smith, Sawyer "Mac" Stanley and Ryder Stanley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Alice Culp. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the staff of The Village at Ware Living Center in Amarillo, Texas.
