Obituary

Mollie L. Cross, 98, of Plainview passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Cross was born Jan. 14, 1912, in Swink, Okla., to the late John Lewis and Eliza Julia Hyde. She married W.L. Cross on May 14, 1931, in Nolan County, Texas. He preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1967. Mrs. Cross was a member of First Baptist Church and East Mound Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by three daughters, Cleta and her husband, Kenneth Duckett, of Plainview, Virginia and her husband, W. Paul Butler, of Brownwood and Betty Love of Odessa; six grandchildren, Martin Duckett of Plainview, Kenna Duckett Hatch of Plain?view, Paula Butler Lusk of Plainview, William Boyd Butler of Lubbock, William Overton Love of Odessa and Matthew Connally Butler of San Antonio; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lewis and Eliza Julia Hyde. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church 205 W.
