Criswell, Elmer Lee,Sr., Mrs. (Allen Thompson)

Funeral services for Allen Thompson Criswell, 94, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with Chris Criswell officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.

She was born Feb. 8, 1906 in Comanche County and grew up and attended schools there. She moved to Jones County in 1921 and married Elmer Criswell, Sr. on July 12, 1925. He died June 18, 1997. She moved to Hale County in 1952. She was a homemaker and farmed in Hale County.

Survivors include two sons, Elmer Lee Criswell Jr. of Plainview and W.B. Criswell of Idalou; two daughters, Linda Smith of Plainview and Lura Brown of Silverton; a sister, Mora Schlueter of Grand Junction, Colo.; and eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great grandchildren.
