Graveside services for Leon ?L.L.? Crane, 92, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jim Ritter, pastor of Seth Ward Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Crane died on Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at the Prairie House Living Cente.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1908 in Hopkins County. He moved to Floyd County as a teenager and to Plainview as a young adult. He worked for John Hooper. He married Pearl Gay Self in Clovis, N.M. on Dec. 21, 1931. After marriage, he continued to work for John Hooper. He served in the Navy during World War II. After discharge he worked for Bryan & Hoffman. Pavers and later worked for Hi Plains Pavers as a foreman until his retirement in 1973.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Dale Chandler of Plainview and Sue Bontke of Midlothian; a half sister, Jo Dayton of Plainview, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
