Hiram Cox Dies
Hiram Cox, age 75 years, died at his home southwest of the square. He died from a stroke of paralysis which he suffered a week before.
The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. J.H. Abney conducting the service, and interment was in Plainview cemetery.
The deceased leaves five sons and one daughter among them are Geo. Cox and Miss Mary Cox of Plainview. A brother from New Mexico was with him when the end came, and a brother from California had been here several days before. His wife died about five years ago, and he was buried by her side.
