Obituary
Drusilla Katherine Couch, 91, passed away Oct. 11, 2009, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Northwest Church of Christ with J Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends Wednesday night from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Drusilla was born Nov. 15, 1917, to Daniel H. and Martha Elizabeth England in Quitaque. She married James Cleo Couch on Dec. 22, 1935, in Turkey, Texas. She worked for Plainview and Central Plains Hospital as a cook. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and needlepoint. She also liked to garden. She was a member of Northwest Church of Christ. Drusilla was preceded in death by her husband, James Couch; her son, Thomas Woodson Couch; her daughter, Audy Faye Couch; her brothers, Harvey England, Bertie England and Herman England; and her sisters, Ruby Kincannon and Nelma Collins. She is survived by her eight sons, Truman Couch and his wife, Georgette, of Kilgore, Clifton Couch of Dallas, Loyd Couch and his wife, Loretta, of Kilgore, Gilbert Couch and wife, Joy, of Kilgore, James Couch and his wife, Cheryl, of Kilgore, Weldon Couch and his wife, Paula, of Florence, William Couch and his wife, Cheryl, of Plainview and Lewis Couch and his wife, Pat, of Plainview; her eight daughters, Jimmie Nell Brown of Mentone, Calif., Frances Love and her husband, Butch, of Georgetown, Lillie Morsbach and her husband, Harvey, of Georgetown, Irene Fennell and her husband, Jimmy, of Granger, Elizabeth Brown and her husband, Randy, of Plainview, Audrey Alderson and her husband, Gary, of San Angelo, Lois Sumners and her husband, Ted, of Midland and Evelyn Ridener and her husband, Johnny, of Levelland; 44 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to Eleanor Rodriguez for her loving care of our mom.
