Obituary

Funeral services for Monica Coronado, 85, of Amarillo, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerard Kenney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Coronado died at 9:36 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, in Amarillo. She was born May 4, 1917, in Fredericksburg where she grew up. She moved to Plainview in 1973 and to Amarillo in May 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. On May 29, 1935, she married Viviano Coronado Sr., in Bexar County. He died March 14, 1979. Survivors include nine daughters, Felipa Rangel of Seguin, Juanita Barerro of San Antonio, Maria Coronado, Anita Coronado, Paulita Tasker, Delia Coronado and Mary Estella Hernandez, all of Amarillo, Saberina Chavira of Plainview and Isabel Alvarado of Dallas; three sons, Viviano Coronado Jr., Guadalupe Coronado and Albert Coronado, all of Amarillo; 50 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Julia Alvarado; three sons, Manuel Coronado, Jose Coronado and Encamacion Coronado; and two brothers and one sister are deceased.
