Cork, Lonnie Lee

Funeral services for Lonnie Lee Cork, 69, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Cork died at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, in Covenant Hospital.

He was born July 8, 1934, in Quanah. He grew up in Childress and moved to Plainview in 1967. He served with the U.S. Army.

On April 15, 1952, he married Annie Joyce in Tucumcari, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Sherry Bryant of Tulare, Calif., Marlene Cork, Carol Cork, Gayle Walker and Linda Torres, all of Plainview; two sons, Mike Cork of Elgin and Justin Cork of Plainview; five brothers, Billy Dee Cork, Freddy Joe Cork and Carl Lee Cork, all of Lubbock, Claude Cork of Brazoria and Malcolm Cork of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Savana Aldridge of Colorado and Terry Gayle Black of Brazoria; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
