Obituary

Funeral services for Eula Mae Corbitt, 85, were at 2 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leonel Gonzales, chaplain of Area Community Hospice, officiating. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Corbitt died Thursday, March 30, 2006, in Plainview Healthcare Center. She was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Plainview to Lawrence and Bertha Sheppard and married Drennen Corbitt on Feb. 28, 1970, in Amarillo. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Plainview. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Brenda Britten of Amarillo; two sons, Ronnie Hewitt of Memphis, Tenn., and Larry Hewitt of Austin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
