Obituary

Funeral services for Berdie Gould Copeland, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Martin officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Copeland died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at her residence. She was born Nov. 5, 1914, in Seymour. She moved to Olton with her parents and attended Olton schools. She had lived in Plainview most of her adult life and was a member of First Christian Church. On April 23, 1938, she married Otho Guild in Plainview. He died Nov. 20, 1970. On May 4, 1972, she married J.T. Copeland. He died Feb. 5, 1989. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda Gould and Jerrell and Jolene Gould, all of Plainview, and Buddie Williams of Huntsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Joy and Jenny Kersh of Plainview; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Area Community Hospice, 3109 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072.
