Cooper, Beauford Ollie, Mrs. (Maude Marie Thornton)

Funeral services for Marie Cooper will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cooper died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000.

She was born in Tenaha, TX and grew up in Clarendon, graduating from high school there. She graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in teaching.

She married B.O. Cooper on June 17, 193 in Amarillo. After their marriage, she lived in Washington, El Paso, Phoenix and Tulsa, moving to Plainview in 1949. Mr. Cooper died Jan. 6, 1978.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Pastor?s Class. She also was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed playing bridge.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, J Carlton and Maryalta Cooper of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one grandchild, Christina Cooper of Scottsdale and one great-grandchild, Mitchell Cooper of Scottsdale.

The family will receive friends from 4 ? 6 p.m. today at Lemons Funeral Home.
